So...you know when you find a brew that you really like, and then you try beers made by the same company--because you think, "Hell, if they can do one beer right, why can't they do many?"
This is an obvious assumption, but as we say in The County, you know what happens when you assume. You get a beer that tastes like ass.
So goes the case with Ginga Kogen Pale Ale. It seems that our friends in the snowy north forgot everything they knew about beer and made something that is just bad. Run of the mill. Nothing special here!
I feel bad talking smack about Ginga Kogen, since the other beers that they have are great! But no apologizies here, this one leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. Both lit. and fig.
If you see this brew, don't be tempted. No hoppy taste, no bitter pale ale character. Nothing. Talk about a let down... I'm not asking too much, just some good tasting brew!!!!
