Ommegang Brwg. in New York brewed a beer which it wanted to call "Ommegang Obamagang", but the sourpusses at the U.S. TTB nixed that name. They settled for "Inauguration Ale 2009". The beer itself was dark, and decidedly funky {in the good sense}. It is a Belgian conglomeration, partially a dubbel, but using roasted malt. I had one glass of it at the Map Room tavern, and that was enough of it. It was OK.
hmmmm...I drank some big bottles of Ommegang stuff last summer. Belgian stlye something. I remember that they were better than the Piraat bottle I drank around the same time. That stuff is a bit overrated. I bet Obama likes Sam Adams.

Ommegang is good beer. I have had it and enjoyed it!!!
