Moto-moto sake rice washing!!!!

I have become a sake drinker. I didn't use to be for sure. There was a time when I would have rather poured the stuff out than drink it. No more. I have seen the error of my ways and now love the stuff. In Toei there is some great sake to be found, and I am enjoying finding it.
For Nate's birthday we took a trip to help make some Moto-Moto sake in Toyohashi. We had already harvested the rice for the sake, (Nate and Miyuki helped plant it.) and now it was time to wash the rice and get it ready to make sake. That's right people, you can actually buy sake that The Good Beer Country Boys helped make. What is the world coming to?
Thanks to our keen washing skills (rub-a-dub!) the rice was ready to continue on its journey to becoming some tasty sake.
If you are lucky enough, you can also find some Syu-ta-ro Sake in Toyohashi, named for our friend and badass sake brewery owner, Syutaro. Let me just tell you that if you are enough of a badass to brew some amazing sake, the next most badass thing to do is to name the sake after yourself.... Good Beer Country Boy Brew coming soon!!!!!!
