Beer Festivals are coming!

Nate will add some more on this later I am sure, but there are some serious beer events on the horizon. February 14th and 15th is the Real Ale Festival in Tokyo where Nate and Miyuki will be working as volunteers. If you are in Tokyo or the area, go and meet up with them!! We want to hear about ways to get Good Beer Country Boys out there and what kind of information we can provide to the English speaking, beer-loving population of Japan!
February 22nd is the Whiskey Live Japan Festival also in Tokyo. I already mentioned that Brew Dog will be there with their Paradox Scotch Ale.
March 13th, 14th and 15th will be the Grand Biere Festival in Tokyo, and Michi, Nate, Miyuki and myself will all be working...so for sure come down and meet us!
The Great Japan Beer Festival will be in Tokyo in June 6th and 7th, Osaka July 18th and 20th, and Yokohama September 19th-21st.

If you have any questions about these events, check out their pages--or drop me or Nate a comment. I know that for those that don't speak/read Japanese (or have close friends that do) sometimes these events seem impossible to infiltrate. Fear not.

We've only been up and running a grand total of three full months. Not too bad. We have high hopes and ideas of where we want to take this, as we truly are the ONLY all English blog dedicated to Japanese craft beer. As we travel to more breweries and meet more friends, the sky is the limit!

This week we should be able to post the interview with James Watt of Brew Dog Beer. We'd like to start posting interviews with different craft brewers in Japan, but hey--you gotta start somewhere. If you know of any good craft beer stores, breweries, brewers, or stories from your area of Japan--please send them to me! We'll post anything worthy of posting that gets the word out about Japanese craft beer (ji-beer).

And with that friends, I will leave you. The school day has finished, the mountain air is smelling crisp and refreshing, and there is a beer waiting on me in my fridge back home.

Life is grand.
