February starts....

Well, a great weekend was had in Nagoya. Nate, Nick and I toured the Asahi Brewery on Saturday morning, drank beer all day, and capped it off with a birthday get together for Nick at the Sapporo Beer Garden at night. They do make three beers there: a pilsner, alt and wiezen (sound familiar?) but they were all very ordinary. The Kinshachi Chocolate Stout that we drank from Spirits however was not ordniary.
I also found a new store in Sakae that sells all of Hakusekikan's Brews even the Super Vintage 2000 for 1800 yen. I did pick up Inuyama Loreley Beer's Chocolate Stout (I have to get home to rememeber it's name...) that they made for Valentine's Day.
This weekend we are gathering in Tahara for some Karaoke and relaxing. We deserve it.
Check back in a lot this week as we are going to talk more about Yo-Ho's brews, I'll review Inuyama's Chocolate Stout, we'll post pics from the weekend, and we will update you on some Beer Happenings from around Japan.

ALSO, later this week we should have a Good Beer Country Boys exclusive as James Watt, the Managing Director at Brew Dog is going to 'stop in' and answer some questions for us here! James will also be in Tokyo February 22nd at Whiskey Live Tokyo to exhibit all of Brew Dog's beers. If you are in the area, make sure you attend and tell James that Good Beer Country Boys and you are supporting Brew Dog in Japan. At the moment, their Paradox is the only style available here, but hopefully that will change soon!
