Friday is here again. This weekend should be another good one, and as we say in Kentucky--a bad Saturday always beats a good Monday. I am excited today as I just discovered another Kentucky boy (from my high school even!) is living in Nagoya. Small world no doubt. Be assured that just like any upstanding Kentuckian (Scott Countian as well) he loves the Cold Beer. And, just to show you how much of a badass he is--I think he still holds the Scott County High School football record for the longest punt---77 yards. A quick google search will tell you that he still has the seventh best all time baseball batting average of .444. Scott County forever. I can't say for sure but I think he accomplished all of that while drinking a case of PBR. Now that's talent people--and that's a Good Beer Country Boy.
Tonight I'll be back in Toyohashi and doing a post about Yo-Ho Brewing. We've waited to talk about Yo-Ho, which has been called "the Best Japanese Beer You Have Never Heard Of." Whoever wrote that must be writing from abroad, because Yo-Ho's beers are most likely the most accessible ji-beers in Japan. I've already written about Tokyo Black here, and they back the Black with a great Pale Ale, IPA, and an ok ESB. Yo-Ho also is available on tap in many areas in Japan, and (as far as I know) is only available at London Pub Towser in the Nagoya area.
Here's to a quick Friday morning and a slow Friday night. Cheers!
