Silk Yebisu and Reisei Sapporo

Friends, to keep you updated on whats coming in the Japanese beer world.....

I found a pic of Sapporo's new Reisei (cool) brew that is supposed to leave a refreshing feeling in your mouth after you drink it. It is happoshu and will most likely taste like crap, but I am sure that I will drink one for the sheer novelty. This is the first pic I have seen of the can...and I'm not too impressed.

By doing some further investigating...a new Yebisu brew is on the horizon. Due to hit stores on March 4, 2009, Yebisu is launching Silk Yebisu in a stylish white can. Now, I don't need to tell you that The Good Beer Country Boys aren't too big of fans of Yebisu, whether it be the regular, Hop, Amber, or Black. I am skepitcal as well of this brew, but it is some beer news. And that my friends is better than no news at all.

There is this Japanese Izakya right next door to a beef proccessing plant in India, a deaf mute man with no legs walks in and says to the receptionist, "Yebisu, please." She gives him the beer, he takes it, thumbs his waistline, dumps the beer down his pants and says, "Damn, that beer is delicious... I'm sorry, this story is just getting too ridiculous. Yebisu delicious?
