This is my last post before I head back to Toyohashi for a great weekend. Tomorrow the Good Beer Country Boys are heading to the
Hadaka Matsuri (the naked man festival--no joke--google it) and then we are packing it back to Tahara for some home-brewing. We aren't planning on running around with the naked men, but no guarantees will be made. We will however be looking for good brew.
And for your pleasure and mine, I decided to share with you an old pic of The Good Beer Country Boys in our younger, wilder, less good beer drinking days. Yes, that's Nate and I, and our good friends Ryan and Colt from back home. And yes, we are drinking the Red Asahi Happoshu.

There are only 200 tix so may be sold out already but if you're interested get your GF to read the link and give them a call.
I heard something about that festival awhile back but then got busy, forgot, and now have plans that weekend. A small fest like that sounds fun.
Oh, and that picture of me drinking a red asahi. That isn't real. I was drinking a premium malts and DH used his computer skills to superimpose the asahi can in my hand. Sneaky bastard.
Justin, my girlfriend was in Kyoto this weekend and brought me back some surprise ji-beer...should I be excited?
I only know of two Kyoto ji beers and I've heard they're fine but not great so I've never bothered trying them. BTW my buddy Mark said he was in contact with one of you guys and that he was going to meet up with you in Tokyo next weekend.
Justin, sweet! I'll let you know what I think of the brews when I try them. Nate is going to Tokyo next weekend for the Real Ale Festival and will be working the festival Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tell your buddy Mark to shoot me or Nate an email, or just look for the ugly white guy working at the festival!!!
