Baird Angry Boy Brown Ale

I'll post more about our visit with Bryan Baird soon, but I just had to let you know. This is the best beer in Japan. I first had it when Tom bought me a pint in Tokyo. Had it again last weekend when Bryan bought me a pint in Numazu. Had to buy one for myself to make sure that I just didn't like it so well because someone else bought it for me.

I bought a pint and I found out:

This is the best beer in Japan, and Baird Beer now is my #1 All-time bestest top-notch microbrewery in Japan.

DRINK THIS BEER.

I love brown ales!

Where did you buy this on tap in Tokyo?!?!!?!

You can get it at Baird's Nakemeguro Tap Room along with all the other great beers they make.

The angry boy is good, along with almost anything else they bring out, with a few exceptions. Yes, could be up there, if not the no.1. Taproom is really useful for us Tokyoites but it just isn't the same as at Numazu. Great little bar.

Chuwy, I agree. The Numazu bar is the best bar I have been to in Japan. I am tempted to try and go back there before i head to the islands!

John, you have gotta try this beer. AMAZING.

Popeye also sometimes has Angry Boy on tap, and I've heard that UshiTora also has it fairly often.

But you're all right -- the Fishmarket Taproom in Numazu is the best place to drink it -- other than my house, which is ~50 meters from the brewery! (I'm looking into having a glycol-cooled beer line up in direct from the brewery to my taps!)

The Angry Boy is a might fine brew. Baird brews some good beer and lots of 'em. I love how they aren't afraid to experiment and constantly bring us something new. Looks like I need to make my way to Numazu and get this fresh...

Today angry boy is on tap at Cheers, Yokohama and Taproom Nakameguro. With the recommended nonbei card, the Taproom is the better choice at about 750 a US pint.

Last Friday [20 March], I went to Sam's Wines & Liquors for Metropolitan Brwy.'s free tasting.
I went down one of the aisles at Sam's and discovered Shelton Brothers are importing three Baird Beers to the U.S.A., and to Illinois.
Rising Sun Pale Ale [5%]
Red Rose Amber Ale [5.4%]
Angry Boy Brown Ale [6.2%]

Sam's wanted $4.99 for a 355 mL bottle. I think that's an equitable price, but I did not buy any of them yet.
