The number of pictures I have on my computer should be illegal. I think that if I printed out all of the digital pictures, it would make a stack that would stretch from the Earth to the moon twice. OK, I totally made that up--and I hate when people say things like that. How does anyone figure something like that out? Anyway, you know when you got about 1,000 pics stacked up they would just fall over and make a mess that would cover an area as big as the Indian Ocean three times. I couldn't resist.
Looking through my old pics I found a lovely shot of me drinking an interesting beer in the most interesting of ways. I remembered that two years ago, I went to Shodoshima, a tiny Island in Shikoku. On the way there, we stopped off in Shikoku for some Sanuki Beer. (I had heard about Sanuki Udon, but the beer took me by surprise!) Sanuki Beer is made by Kagawa Brewery and it looks like they made a few other styles including an Kelsch and a "Super Alt".
I only had one, I remember it being run of the mill and nothing to sell the farm for. However, I might need to make a trip back there in the future to try it again. Yes, that is me in the pic with the long hair, turning my hand while drinking the beer so that you can see the label. I know it looks weird.
Also, while searching through the endless pics on my computer, I came across this gem of two country boys who will remain nameless relieving themselves on a pier in Gamagori. How rude.

It might just be me, but looking at lay of the land, and thinking about what little physics I know, that picture looks a recipe for Nate's feet to get a little wetter and a little warmer...
Bobbitt, you mean't to say "that unidentified young man" and certainly not Nate....And at the time, I think enough of The Captain was present to dispel all worry about anything...
Are you drinking... ...canned coffee?
The coffee Country Boys?
Possibly a can of Georgia Coffee, owned by, I think, CocaCola?
Boys - how could you?
I feel used.
I'm going to take a shower.
I at least hope the coffee was so you could wake yourself up for another drinking session.
Kagawa Beer has a Super Alt!
Watch out when you drink that stuff.
Either it's super old and tastes terrible or it allows you to leap tall buildings in a single drunken bound, before crashing into the next tall building and swearing as you fall asleep in the rubble, with your pants around your knees and dribble oozing off your chin.
Uh. That last sentence wasn't meant to be sexual.
Chuwy, now I see what you mean. No, that can was not ours, as we don't litter and toss our cans about just anywhere. No, Nate was walking around the beach with a 5th of Captain Morgan........
Okay, respectometer has been reset.
Argh! Used to like that stuff, before I was introduced to Ron Zacapa and his friends, down in Guatemala. Still, I'd do Captain Morgan before Myer's or bacardi. That sounded dirty again.
Hey guys. Enjoying the blog! Now I need to dig back through older posts and see if you've hit on some of my favorite beers in Japan.
Thanks for making a comment on the Tokyo Beer and Blog site. As you suggested, here's a bit about it for your readers.
We're just starting the Tokyo chapter (original chapter is based in Portland, Oregon). Basic idea is to get bloggers together to help each other out and chat about what they're working on...over beers, of course.
I think a lot of the people who will show up to the first event will be tech, otaku culture and food bloggers, but it would be excellent to have beer bloggers as well!
