The biotech company Alltech based in Kentucky is the money behind Kentucky Ale. It's no secret that I love me some KY Ale, be it the regular or the glorious Bourbon Barrel. It seems that Alltech is getting involved in all things Asian as well.
That's right, our own Alltech-founded by yeast genius Dr. Pearse Lyons--has partnered with several Japanese giants, including Asahi, to produce natural MSG. There's big money in the Asian food business, and Alltech wants a piece of the pie---err....sushi roll.
No word yet if Asahi will start brewing KY Ale here in Japan, but we can hope. As long as they don't screw it up.

I just finished reading Asimov's Prelude to Foundation and this whole yeast extracts for food is way to utopian society futuristic for me. In the years ahead, most alcohol will be synthetic and you will have to pay 100,000 One World Government Credits for a glass of vintage 2015 Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Ale.
Ask for Christopher Bird at Alltech, and things will be all right. Yes, you can drop my name there.
I sent an email to Kentucky Ale asking Christopher Bird some questions last week. I got a reply back today that Chris was no longer with Kentucky Ale but the email would be forwarded. What?
Pudgy...do we drop the name Pudgy? And do you about him not being with KY Ale anymore?
