Thanks to Chuwy and his weekend efforts of drinking beer and trolling the Japanese websites, we bring you the next big thing from Asahi. I cringe when I say that, because the last few "next big things" were real dissappointing. Of course, I refer to their Ginger Draft and Asahi Off. "I'm Off!!"
The next big thing is the Asahi Master. This German-Japanese collab (didn't work too well the last time did it? (that was probably stepping over the line) ) says it is a "Pils Type" and is guaranteed to cost me a few hundred yen. This type of all malt concotion is just the type of thing that I fall for. Good looking beer, good looking can...Nate can hear my hopes rising. The ad for this brew cites the German purity law which we all know says that "real beer" can only use water, hops, malt, pretzels, sausage casings, old BMW radiators, and this girl's sweat. (You are welcome) I'm looking forward to this beer's release, not so much becuase I am really excited about drinking it, but becuase when it is released on May 26th, 2009--summer will be here. I'm ready for that.
