Hansharo Beer has released the beer that DH, Miyuki, and myself
helped make. Miyuki received some bottles in the mail today and I hope to drink one this coming weekend. Hansharo's name for the beer is
7 Hop Ale. Sadly, the label on the bottle is the same label that their chocolate stout had. It is the label that Hansharo uses for their seasonal and limited releases.

If this beer makes it to Tokyo through the
Rainbow Brewing side of the operation, I can only hope that they use the label I designed during a lull in the brewing process. Kowano-san saw it and I wrote my name under it so credit may be given where credit is deserved. You know this label makes you want to drink the beer.

In other news, I cut my hair off. It is getting warmer and my mop was swinging at eye level. Annoying. Anyway, Miyuki's friend Sao-chan works at a hair salon owned by her dad and her practice time is Thursday after 6:30pm. I went in as a cut model and had one hell of an experience with Sao-chan and her dad tag-teamin' my head. That man can work a comb and scissors like a chef at a Japanese steakhouse.

What does my haircut have to do with beer? Well, on the 45 minute walk back to Miyuki's house, I drank a Kirin Muroka and a Suntory Green Aroma. And they weren't too bad.

You'll be happy to hear that Rainbow brewing's RAINBOW ALE will be on tap soon in Bulldog (and probably more bars in Tokyo). It's gonna be on tap so I don't know about your pic (never seen a rainbow beer in a bottle). Looking forward to trying it. Hope you both had a heck of a Golden Week.
Hopefully the choice of 7 hops was to do with getting the balance and flavor right, rather than just matching the number of hops with the accepted differentiated colour spectra of the common rainusbowus (that was me, trying to sound all scientificus dickus). Heck, if you can do both, then I'm up for a whole spectrum of enjoyment in my pint! Who doesn't need a bit more colour in their life?!
Chuwy, let us know asap. If it is delicious it is because of the great malt pouring, and hop additions by yours truly. If it sucks, it's because nate farted in the fermenter.
I saw DH pick a booger and drop it in the mash tun.
I think Dusk/your 7 hop, 8 farts, 9 booger ale is on tap now in Bulldog.
May check it out tmrw afternoon, if I have time.
Will let you know how it goes. Should I bring a sieve for the boogers (we call them bogies or snobs)? I'll try not to inhale too much CO2/Methane.
Correction. On tap soon.
