Numazu Bound in the morning!

I'm heading to Numazu to Baird Beer's The Fishmarket Taproom. I think you should too. Come out and drink beers to support Beers for Books on Sunday, or just stop in Sat. night and say hello.

You'll be glad that you did.

Just brewed batch 2. She's bitter but I like here. A strong oatmeal choc coffee stout. See how she turns out. Had to use crappy yeast though.
Staying here for tonight. Will head down in the am early. Cycle round Fuji to work up a thirst, then hit Taproom.

Was planning on heading out but have apparently contracted some sort of sickness and need to avoid drinking. Looking forward to hearing how it goes. By the way do you know when brewery tours are normally held? Is it only for special events?

Pity. wouldve been nice to meet you, dude.
Take care.

Shakujin -- We'll give brewery tours any time we're not busy, but we ask that you call/email in advance to set it up. If you just show up, chances are we'll be busy and we won't be able to show you around, and that's not good for anyone. In general, tours are in the late afternoon, after most of the work has been done for the day -- since we usually only have two or three people working in the brewery at any one time, it's hard for one of us to break away to show someone around. Other than that, though, we do our best to be flexible.

And sorry you can't make it down this weekend. I'm also feeling the effects of a drunken night of craziness followed by a day of hay-fever-type allergies. I'll be fine after a few beers today, though.

Take care of yourself.

Chris, thank you for the response, I appreciate it. Great news about the tours, I will be sure make contact well in advance to see if something can be worked out. Good luck with your recovery.

Am back home and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of an unforgettable weekend. Unforgettable, apart from why I stabbed myself in the eye with my thumb and how DH got that bruise above his eye. Both eye injuries obtained whilst being very, very drunk. Of course. Injuries, obtained in the field of duty. Battle scars!
Chris, DH, MrsHa...ha...harisan? ^-^, many thanks.

Oh, and one more thing.

Kampachi!

My liver hurts. Four days of drinking . . . heavily . . . with great people. Can't beat that. But my liver hurts.

Ouch.

Mine too Chris...I've been beer free since Monday night...

Speaking of that, time for a brew?
