It was very nice - but so was my wrestling prowess- or lack of, another story

BakaYaro was awesome, enjoyed 3 pints of it myself -- Chris, job nicely done and it was great meeting you finally. Chuwy, it was good finally meeting you too.

Also, nothing like a good fight to celebrate Chris' brew. Chuwy, what was that all about?

Wrestlin? A fight? Sounds interesting!

Was there more shit going on after I left? Damn, I hope not or the plan of making a yearly event of the BakaYaro! release will be gone. (And not blaming Chuwy at all for anything that happened while I was there -- he was a victim of circumstances!

Red, nice meeting you -- and sorry we didn't get a chance to talk more.

DH -- you really missed something worth attending!

It was mad. Not very packed house but we made up for it in drinking and noise! Also action!
I spent a fair while reluctantly helping a friend out with this wrestling moves. Must have gone through the whole book, last night!
Later on, he tried to 'practice' with another guy, a guy he had been attempting to 'practice' with earlier that evening. I think you saw that brief attempt at a 'practice session', Chris.
Well, the first time, this guy didn't seem to want to 'practice' and was even confused as to why the other guy wanted to 'practice' with him. Then, later on (Chris had left) he was up for some 'practice' and it seemed like the two were going to 'practice'.
However, I thought my friend had had more than enough 'practicing' for one night and with the bar staff and one or two others, we 'gently guided' him away. He seemed cool then.
Nice bit of action to liven up the night. I think a cup or glass or something got broken in the confusion and tables were lifted but no one was hurt and we all carried on drinking afterward.
The evenings wrestling was a little bit of stress for me but I've been there before. Doubtless, I'll be there again, soon.
At least my eye was fine, waking up this morning.
My back isn't. Had to sprint 400m from Aldgate to JUST catch the last train to within one station of mine. Drank way too much, last night. I tried to take it easy but what can I do - people kept buying me drinks!
Chris, good to see you and good to sample some Bakayaro again. Pity it's not in bottles. I may prefer last year's slightly but I can't remember.
This one was very nice. Had 3 or 4 myself, as well as 3 surugas and a few others, including the inaka.
I didn't like the inaka I had at the taproom but the one last night was much creamier and less bitter/burnt roast in the back of the throat. I think I may have had a weird pint in nakameguro or I was feeling weird at the time. It happens. Others have had that beer at Nakameguro and loved it. I need to try again! Good excuse!
Red, good to finally meet you too, dude. Sorry we couldn't chat more. Even when we did, I was all over the place and like a rabbit in the headlights. A lot was going on that evening and I think I'm still confused.
DH, you would have enjoyed.

The night certainly livened up my 3-day trip to Japan. I go back to Oregon today (Sun), but will be back often in 2010 -- need to go to Numazu sometime.

Should any of you find yourselves in Portland, Oregon, let me know -- can't guarantee any fights, but can certainly scrounge up some good beer.

Red, some day I'll take you up on your offer. In the meantime, I'll keep a seat warm for you at Taproom in Numazu -- welcome any time!

The story here is, BAKAYARO! makes people stupid when they drink more than 3 :)

Oh, and Red, it was nice meeting you there as well!

I'm pretty sure I had at least 3 or 4, but then the bakayaro can't really make me any more stupid than I already am - I have an immunity, there!
Red, great to meet you.
Let me know, next time u r in Japan.
I'm guessing you've never been to the Thrash Zone. Lot's more to check out, next time!
Chris, it was a good event. We all got home in one piece and my eyes are ok (well, as good/bad as they were before hand, anyway).
Win win!
Hoping it'll be held there again, next time round.
DH, shame on you for not being there! Tsk tsk!
Just because you live in another prefecture...
^-^
Hope you get to taste the bakayaro.
Maybe if you ask nicely, Chris can try and save some for you - it is his baby, after all!

Speaking of fights, I just had a teacher and a student get in a brawl in the middle of English class! A full on choke slamming head into the metal filing cabinet fight!

Wild.

DH -- They should have come to Harajuku -- they would have fit right in! [insert "roll eyes" here]
