Greetings! You have found Good Beer and Country Boys, a blog created about the first by the latter. Some native Kentuckians chronicle their search for great beer in The Bluegrass and Beyond!
I try to avoid hangovers and headaches as much as possible -- water and some stuff I picked up in the States called XO3 -- a bunch of vitamins and amino acids and shit that supposedly help prevent hangovers. It works for me.
But in general, I make sure I drink some water, eat some food, and when drinking with Chuwy, drink half pints so I can at least maintain some dignity while trying to keep up with his ordering speed.
Hey! No fair! My hangover cure involves a padded eypatch. Saves my head from hurting the next day. (*o^) If I have the sense to eat before hand, that helps. Stick to less than 3 different kinds of alcohol, try to keep below double figures, also watch out for the 14% beers and say no to the end of the night tequila shots. Drink before going to bed. Try not to wake up in Gunma, shivering and wet on a tiny plastic sheet in a rainy, cold park in Gotenba or shivering on a police station sofa, whilst the cops go through everyone on your phone, embarrassing the h*ll out of you in the desperate attempt to find someone who is stupid enough to take you off their hands. Also staple your wallet to your trousers - and don't lose your trousers! It happens.
How about cycling 100km the next day? Thats what Im gonna do in the morning! Did 65km today, mostly at 18% inclines. At a few occasions, I couldnt feel my testicles. seriously. Scary stuff. Thats ANOTHER sure fire cure for a hangover and guaranteed way to wake the heck up. no sensation whatsoever. Scared the crap out of me. Back to full power now, though.
Tomorrows target is the fishmarket taproom around 7pm. Now kawaguchiko. did the sylvans 90min 500yen all u can drink tongiht. time for bed. Give the little boys a chance to recover. Gotta adjust that seat....
Cycling?? Not first on my list. I will attest that eating a couple of taco bell chalupas after a long night at bar does sit on the stomach quite nicely.

Chuwy, most of those aren't hangover cures -- or even preventions. They are hangover aftermaths!
I eat 10 raw eggs.
