Greetings! You have found Good Beer and Country Boys, a blog created about the first by the latter. Some native Kentuckians chronicle their search for great beer in The Bluegrass and Beyond!
Yoichi is awesome! I drink it fairly regularly. But dayam, it's 'spensive, and I have to bring it back from Japan -- can't buy it in the U.S yet...
If you're in Tokyo, there's a little bar that serves it right out of the cask -- I blogged about it a little while ago (click on the "Little Smith" link): http://oshuushu.blogspot.com/2010/01/blog-post_09.html
Red, never had that one, but there are some good ones out there for sure. Seems like once the Japanese set their minds on making something great--they usually succeed.
Don't know why we didn't link your blog before, but it is done now! Cheers!
Nonjatta Very good website on Japanese whisky. Chris is also a great guy and would answer any questions any of you guys had on Japanese whisky. I'm thinking of getting back into the old spirits (haven't really drank whisky since junior high school). Have a few friends here who tipple and I realise that Japanese whisky has some fantastic stuff and also the Scottish and Irish (and Welsh!) whisky over here is cheaper than back home! Great opportunity!
