It's Tuesday, and you know what that means...

It's a snowy Tuesday in the Bluegrass. For me, that means I have to make the 50m commute to work in the snow. For others, it's a bit more treacherous. Tuesday in the Bluegrass can mean many things to many people. For instance, there is a UK Basketball game tonight. For others, it means that today is the day you have to have the meeting at the office with the guy who has chronic halitosis. For the enlightened few, it means The Chase Taproom.

The Chase Taproom is located in downtown Lexington, about two minutes walk from Rupp. It's a nice cozy bar, no food, and in a decent location. Those are all OK things. But Tuesday is the day this place comes alive.

You see, on Tuesday-all pints at the Chase Taproom are $2. That's right, only $2 for PBR. That's a pretty good deal. What's that? You don't like PBR? OK, well pints of Stone Arrogant Bastard, Dogfish 90 Minute IPA, Founder's Red Rye, Schlafly Bourbon Barrel, Bell's Two Hearted, Flying Dog Pale Ale, and all others are $2 as well.

You read that correctly. You could drink five of these great craft beers for $10. That's just stupid. I don't know how this place is making any money, so you better get your butt there ASAP; it might not be around forever.

The beers were all in good form, and the staff was nice. The place started off a bit slow, but a crowd quickly gathered around 9PM. The lineup changes from week to week, so give them a call first to see what's good this Tuesday.

And oh yeah, if you see me there...buy me a pint.
